So i was reading the New York Times today and I was wondering why It's okay to show a picture of all the men who died in the Honduras prison... but it's almost illegal to post any kind of picture of our troops who were killed over seas!! Why is this okay for the Times to show a picture of dead prisoners??? I think out of respect for the families it shouldn't have a bold picture of the 300 men that died.

  1. I don't think that death should ever be published in a newspaper. I agree that it is very disrespectful the family even if they are in another country could possible see this.

  2. I think you make a good point about how there seem to be some double standards!

  3. Society as a whole seems to view prisoners as "evil" so if something bad happens to them, it's almost like they had what was coming to them vs soldiers who are doing "brave" and "noble" things. I dunno, that's the short version of how I see it.
